Ha Long Bay.
A setting unlike anywhere else.

Vessel among karsts

Why Ha Long Bay

A landscape that hosts you.

The UNESCO World Heritage property of Ha Long Bay–Cat Ba Archipelago holds 1,133 islands and islets across 65,650 hectares. Its marine-invaded tower karst creates a seascape where a vessel becomes your private venue and every turn reveals a new setting.

Travelling through the bay

Every season changes the light, pace and possibilities. We plan with the weather rather than against it.

  • 01

    October to November

Often the clearest period, with calmer seas and warm days suited to outdoor celebrations.

  • 02

    March to April

Mild conditions and softer skies create a quieter, atmospheric landscape.

  • 03

    May to September

Warm and lush, with heavier rain and a greater chance of weather-related sailing changes.

  • 04

    December to February

Cooler, drier and sometimes misty — particularly evocative, though less suited to swimming.

Life on the water

Culture shaped by the bay

Cửa Vạn and other historic boat-dwelling communities carry a fishing culture formed in sheltered coves. Most Cửa Vạn families resettled onshore in 2014, and the site now shares its heritage through day visits, traditional boats, fishing tools, cuisine and sea songs.

Visit with care: respect working communities, avoid single-use plastics, follow marked routes and never touch cave formations or marine life.

Limestone islands of Ha Long Bay

The descending dragon

A landscape held in legend

According to Vietnamese folklore, a mother dragon and her young descended to defend the coast, casting jewels into the sea. The jewels became islands and formed a protective wall. Geology tells another ancient story: limestone shaped over millions of years into the remarkable towers seen today.

Experiences

A different setting with every tide

The voyage can move between quiet coves, caves, open decks and cultural encounters without ever feeling hurried.

Give the place time

Two or three nights allows the landscape to unfold naturally: kayaking or cave walks by day, private dining at sunset and quiet mornings on deck.
